Most oil sold as "cold pressed" in Mumbai arrives from a trader. Ours is pressed here, on a wooden ghani that turns slowly enough to keep the temperature down, then left to settle and filtered through cloth. Nothing is bleached, deodorised or chemically refined, which is why it still smells like the seed it came from.

Wood pressed cooking oils
Groundnut, white sesame, black sesame, coconut, sunflower and safflower, all pressed on a wooden ghani. Groundnut oil starts at ₹480 for 950 ml.
Cold pressed mustard oil
Black and yellow mustard, kachi ghani pressed, ₹670 for 950 ml. The black is sharp and pungent; the yellow is milder and cleaner.
A2 bilona cow ghee
Hand churned from cultured curd rather than cream, ₹3000 for 1 litre.
Skincare and hair oils
Cold pressed castor, amla, neem, black seed, argan and flax seed oil, plus steam distilled rose water, multani mitti and aloe vera gel — from ₹120.

Questions we get from Mumbai customers
Is cold pressed oil the same as wood pressed oil?
Not quite. Cold pressed means the oil was pressed without added heat, usually on a steel expeller. Wood pressed is a slower kind of cold pressing that uses a wooden ghani, which generates less friction heat than steel. All wood pressed oil is cold pressed; not all cold pressed oil is wood pressed.
Can I visit and buy directly?
We are a small pressing unit in Govandi rather than a shop floor, so message or call before coming and we will tell you what is pressed and ready.
Do you deliver outside Mumbai?
Yes. Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane are straightforward, and we ship to the rest of India on request. Ask on WhatsApp and we will confirm the cost before you commit.
Why is it more expensive than the oil in my local shop?
A wooden ghani yields far less oil from the same seed than an industrial solvent plant, and it runs much more slowly. You are paying for lower yield and unrefined quality, not for packaging.
Why does my oil look cloudy, or have sediment at the bottom?
That is normal and expected in unrefined oil. Sediment is the settled solids of the seed. Coconut oil also solidifies below roughly 24 °C, which in a Mumbai winter is common. Neither is a fault.
